In this Election Year where you may feel there are no Good Choices
We need to remind ourselves and maybe even our Pastors what the word of God says. Paul said it very clearly in Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Does that make our leaders Godly?? Certainly not; but God wants us to submit ourselves to the authority they possess, even if we don't agree with their values. Why? Because if we didn't, the world would be in chaos. We have Pastors and Christians all over this country who are completely out of the will of God; railing against candidates and the powers that God has set in place to watch over us. We, as Christians, have God's permission and blessing to condemn what he has identified as sin, but all power of judgment was given to Jesus, and the only ones he really God angry at were the religious leaders of the day and a few lawyers. We have every right to stand against issues, but we need to admonish Pastors and other Christians that God is on the throne, and he will put in power those who he wants to accomplish his master plan; especially for the end times. We don't have to like it, but God expects us to submit ourselves to those he has placed in power over us. I think I remember him saying "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." God may be a little Republican, and maybe a little Democrat, but I can absolutely guarantee you he is not a liberal. I can assure you those Christians who support any party that supports values contrary to the Word of God are going to have a very bad hair day when they stand before Jesus. If you are a Christian who calls yourself a Democrat; pray very hard about the issues you are supporting; for one day you shall answer for it. Who does Jesus want you to support?? He wants you to support the candidates that most closely align themselves with Godly values and teachings. I find it difficult to understand why if a person changes their mind, it is perfectly O.K.; but if a politician changes their mind, we call them a liar. A person who reserves the right to change their mind is the sign of a wise person. Things change, and situations change, and we should give our leaders more respect for the incredible responsibility they take on to lead our nation; and yes; many are very corrupt. But all liars and the corrupt will fall into God's traps and snares; and see their end and just reward come, in this life; or when they stand before Jesus when they leave this world. They shall not escape the judgment of the Great Exterminator. And I firmly believe we need a new third party for Godly values in America; for our existing 2 parties have both lost their way and are so biased and partisan that they no longer serve the people.
