The Christian Hogwash Corral is in no way an assault on any Pastor; but Pastors are responsible for what they teach; and what they say should be checked against the scriptures in the Bible. Jesus warned us over and over not be deceived by false teachings; and there is so much deception in the world today that many Christians don't know what to believe. The Hogwash Corral is in defense of the ways and teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will be adding to it as my time and health permits. Please test what I have written here against other teachings, and the scriptures.

10. The 144,000 Sealed by God in Revelation are Evangelists - Don't think so
There has been a lot of teaching that the 144,000 in Revelation 7:4 are Evangelists of Jesus that he marks and seals on their foreheads to Evangelize the world. I do not agree. Go back with me to Ezekiel 9 verses 1-5 and you will find the exact same thing God did to spare the righteous, before he completely destroyed the city. The mark on their foreheads was a protective mark; nothing more, nothing less. What we do know with all certainty is that they are Christian Jews from the 12 tribes of Israel. Non Christians Jews could not possibly be without fault before the throne of God, after the crucifixion of Jesus. From Revelation 14: 1 -5 we know that they follow Jesus everywhere he goes. They are seen on Mt. Sion in Israel with Jesus in verse 14:1. We also know there is an interval where Jesus is in Heaven until he returns to earth in Revelation 19 to destroy all evil, the anti-christ, and set up his Millennial 1000 year reign on earth. You need to understand that the marking in Revelation 7:4 comes just before the beginning of God's wrath on earth, and the trumpet judgments, which begin in Chapter 8. The trumpet judgments of God will not be a time of great Evangelism, but more a time of everyone running for their lives. If you will read his trumpet judgments, I believe you will agree. We do see 2 of God's witnesses in Jerusalem in Chapter 11:3; a much better fit for being called Evangelists. Please note in Chapter 14:6 it refers to an Angel flying in the midst of Heaven having the Gospel to preach to the world. You really have to understand what is going on and I contend this verse has nothing to do with the 144,000 marked by Jesus, and is part of the warning stated in verses 9-11. A person could also skip down to verse 8 and say the 144,000 destroyed Babylon, but there is nothing that supports that. The 144,000 are quite obviously Christian Jews from the 12 tribes, chosen by Jesus as his first righteous followers and representatives, in his coming 1000 year reign on earth. Put simply; they are Holy; and perfect before God; and his example to be honored for their faithfulness, forever!

1. The Pre-Tribulational Rapture Teaching - The Church's Biggest Lie
It is time we called this teaching what it truly is. It is heresy against the church of Jesus Christ. The definition of Biblical heresy is "the formal denial or doubt of a core doctrine of the Christian faith." The pre-tribulation teaching is just what you as a Christian want to hear, and a far more popular teaching than our suffering in Christ, but unfortunately, it is simply not true, and I intend to prove it to you with scriptures from the Bible; beyond a shadow of a doubt. It is the teaching that any day now we are going to be raptured or taken to Heaven and escape any persecution by the coming Anti-Christ. It is a relatively new teaching, supposedly started in the 1800's by a woman, who probably owned an apple orchard, and wasn't real fond of the Church trying to tell her that her and her followers might have to go through some trials and persecution in the following of Jesus Christ. So they invent a new hocus pocus teaching that people will like much better, and if you believe it, you have been beguiled. This escapism implies that us modern day Christians are so special, that we will escape any persecution in the end times. If you are a person who has read and deeply studied the Bible; the New Testament, and certainly the words of Jesus, you would have to be an idiot to believe this teaching. It is in total conflict with the theme of patient endurance to the end, through trials and tribulations, as Jesus so plainly said he demands of us. It clouds and nullifies the simple messages of Jesus and Paul, and is so contrary to the faithfulness that Jesus expects of us, that I am very surprised that Church congregations have not risen up and had their Pastors arrested for teaching it. You really need to pray for your Pastor and anyone who believes this nonsense. Jesus and Paul both have warned us sternly, not to be deceived by people wanting to sell books and tickle your ears. Jesus himself called them false prophets or false teachers who predict the future, and Paul warned us in 2nd Peter 2:1, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. This escapism theory simply defies everything Christianity is all about, and we as Christians, are called by Paul and Jesus to rise up against false doctrine that is introduced, and to shame those who introduce it. We have had thousands of Pastors adopt the false doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture, only because that is what they have been taught in Seminary, without seeking the face of God. It will take a Godly Pastor to tell his flock that he may have been in error in teaching only what he thought was true. If he truly loves Jesus, he will do it. God the Father sent his son and let him be crucified on a cross to show his faithfulness and love for us. The end times is the epic battle of good and evil, and if you were God, would you not want to see your servant's faithfulness against Satan, the Angel of evil, and his servants? Duh - Someone please slap me if I go unconscious. We, as Christians, need to be ready for what is coming, and I assure you it is not going to be a pleasant time. I believe I can prove out of the word of God that we are not going anywhere, and will be required by God to prove our faithfulness to Jesus, just as thousands of early Christians did in the days of Jesus. I plan to post reason by reason, why this is truly the Church's Biggest Lie. I hope and pray that Pastors all over this country will re-examine what they have been preaching. Jesus wants his Church unified in doctrine, not divided. The prophecy television preachers have written their books and filled their pockets with the money of the innocent and unknowing Christians, but God is on the throne; and my God and my Savior will see that they have their just reward. I challenge any Pastor or any group to a public debate over this teaching. I only ask that there be a large audience present that can vote on the evidence presented by both sides. Why is this teaching so important ? Because it leaves Christians totally unprepared for a time that may be coming very soon. Jesus does not want us to fear what is coming, he wanted us to be prepared for what is coming, and he said to "watch" ! He said over and over, not be deceived about when he is coming back to gather us unto him. A teaching so simple that kindergarten children can understand it. What others may call the rapture is simply what Jesus called the gathering of his Saints unto himself, as noted in John 14: 1-3. If you really love Jesus, you should demand that this teaching be debated; and make those who support it show us why it is in total conflict with the words of Jesus, Paul, Revelation, and countless scriptures. More to come!
2. Revelation 4:1 Is The Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church - Nonsense
It is unbelievable to me that this could be taught by any Pastor. Please read Revelation 4:1 and see if you can find any resemblance of the modern day "raptured" Church there. The Angel was simply telling John to go with him to Heaven to see the things that God wanted him to reveal to us. I will address this in full, but I find this teaching astonishing. If you believe it please call me. I have some ocean front property in Arizona I want to sell you.
3. Once Saved - Always Saved, Teaching - Not according to God
Only if we are faithful to the end; and let me prove it to you. Can a person who committed their life to Jesus wake up one morning and renounce there faith in Jesus. You bet they can, and it happens every day when people lose a child, loved one, or go through hard times. I will post shortly what God the Father said. There are some wonderful television Pastors that I love that have preached that once saved; you are Eternally stamped, sealed and delivered to Heaven; which is simply not true, and let me prove it to you out of God's word. Go with me back to the book of Ezekiel Chapter 18 and listen to the words of God. 24 "But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. 25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? 26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. 27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. 28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die." Please read all of Chapter 18, where God explains that we are only responsible for ourselves, and not the sins of others. God is very clear that we must be faithful, to the end. More to come, with the words of Jesus.
4. The Knowledge Increase in Daniel 12:4 Is Our Computer Age - Quite Silly
If you will go to the ninth chapter of Daniel you will find Daniel pleading with God for forgiveness for the Jewish people who had sinned against him and asking God to turn from his anger and restore Jerusalem and the Temple that Nebuchadnezzar had destroyed at God's command. Daniel's focus was entirely on obtaining God's forgiveness for his people and asking God what would be the fate of his people in the future. God gives him the 70 weeks prophecy. If you don't believe in Jesus you should, as the 70 weeks prophecy predicted his coming and death, before it happened, to the letter. Daniel still wanted to know more and was told by an Angel of God to seal up the book till the time of the end when it will make sense to God's people and Christians ( Daniel 12:4 ). The Angel goes on to say " Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." Daniel is told to go his way, for the words are sealed, until the time of the end. Another Angel finishes by telling Daniel that he will receive his reward in the coming Mellinial 1000 year reign of Christ ( 12:13 ). To say that the "knowledge increase" in Daniel 12:4 refers to the present computer age we are in is simply, quite silly; and completely out of touch with the setting Daniel was in. Daniel was simply told that he had all the knowledge God wanted him to have, and that he would not understand everything. The "many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased" in Daniel 12:4 was referring to the fact that Jesus had not yet come, his apostles had not yet written their books, and certainly Paul's insight into what was to come had not been written. All would have their own revelations, given by God, to help explain the fate of the Jewish people and the end times. Please study and review my words. I assure you you will agree that the Angel was not referring to our present computer age, which would have nothing to do with the Book of Daniel. Knowledge has continually increased throughout our history and is continuing to do so everyday. Quite silly, and unfortunately, Christians are being deceived. In to the corral it goes.
5. The Fig Tree in Matthew 24: 32 Is Referring To The Nation of Israel
I turned on the T.V. one night and came across a well known Bible prophecy channel and listened to a speaker proclaiming that the fig tree in Matthew 24:32 is referring to the nation of Isreal being reborn as a nation in 1948, and how it relates to the end time period we are living in. Go to Mark 13:28 and Luke 21:29 for the same accounts. This was part of what Jesus told his disciples on the Mt. of Olives shortly before he died for us. Please read these chapters and let me know if I need to visit a doctor for mental illness. The diciples asked Jesus what was going to happen in the future and what would be the sign of his coming. He told them the Jewish Temple, built by King Herod, would be completely destroyed; and it was by the Roman Emporer Titus in A.D. 70. He went on to say that when you see the Anti-Christ place the abomination of desolation in the Temple, an unequalled time of trouble in the world, and distress of Nations; among a list of other signs; that he will be returning to take us as Christians back to our Heavenly home, as he promised us in John 14:1-4 Jesus used the fig tree as an anology or parable, which has absolutely nothing to do with the Nation of Isreal being reborn in 1948 and in Isreal today. The Jewish people have to be back in Isreal for the end times plan of God. He was simply saying that just as you know by the fig tree spouts that summer is at hand, when you see all the signs I have just told you about, I am coming to get you. Mission accomplished, and your trials as referred to in Revelation 3:10, are over. Please review this for yourself. In to the corral it goes.
6. The Temple on the Mt. of Olives has to be in place Before Jesus Returns
There is nothing in the Bible that says Solomon or Herod's rebuilt temple on the Mount of Olives has to be re-built before Jesus returns. Jesus referred to Daniel 11:31 and the Abomination of Desolation being placed in the "sanctuary of strength," not necessarily the re-built Temple. As we know, the Temple site of the old Jewish Temple is now occupied by the Dome of the Rock, which is a sacred site for the Islamic people. It could certainly happen, but don't believe it has to happen, as noted by Jesus himself in Mark 13:14. I know some may say that in second Thessalonians 2:4 the scripture says that the anti-Christ will sit in the temple of God, proclaiming to be God. Many Pastors have preached as Gospel over the years that the Temple has to be rebuilt on the Mount of Olives before the return of Jesus. Please remember that a temple is simply a "place of worship" that would apply to any church. In to the corral it goes.
7. We Are Required by Jesus to Forgive the 911 and Other Mass Murderers
On hold, for an interesting re-post, after a little more study and prayer.
8. Drinking is a sin - Only if Jesus was a sinner
There are many many Christians who believe that drinking any form of alcohol is a sin before God. It is very hard for us to watch the D.W.I. deaths and hear the stories of families that have been completely destroyed and torn apart by alcohol. I have lived through periods in which I have drank, and periods in which I did not drink at all. My personal opinion is that you will be far better off if you do not drink at all, and far more productive in life, as well as avoiding a few embarrassing moments. The truth is that those who drink and those who don't do not seem to mix well. I want to start by saying that the definition of the word " wine " is an alcoholic drink made from fermented grape juice. I once had a debate with a wonderful Pastor that I love who simply insisted that wine was simply grape juice, and not alcoholic. We simply cannot have an intelligent discussion over this issue if we are going to start calling an apple an orange. Wine is; an alcoholic drink. Lot's daughter's in the Old Testament devised a plan to have sex with their father to carry on the family line. They gave him wine to drink and we can be quite sure it was not simply fruit juice. I believe we can also be certain that when Moses came down off the mountain with the 10 commandments, the people that had risen up in rebellion were not drinking fruit juice. I have to ask you the question? We all know the miracle in Luke where Jesus turns the water to wine at the marriage party. I believe we can assume with all certainty that if drinking wine was a sin, Jesus would have had nothing to do with it. There is absolutely, unquestionably, nothing wrong before God with drinking an alcoholic drink, as long as it does not turn into drunkenness or cause you to sin. Matthew 5:29 and Mark 9:47 both tell us what Jesus had to say about drinking, drugs or anything we are exposed to in this world. He said very clearly that if it causes you to sin, stop it. He said better to stop it, than to end up in hell. We are all different. Some people can drink and get happy, some get angry, and some get reckless. If you choose to drink, you need to do it responsibly and make sure your indulgence does not go overboard and hurt others. We all want to get down on our knees and cry with the ones whose families have been destroyed by alcohol, but drinking in moderation is no sin, and anyone who tells you it is, is simple in error of the scriptures. Wine and strong drink were very prevalent in the Old Testament and the New Wine and the Oil were a blessing to God's people. Remember also that when Jesus had communion with his disciples at the last supper, he referred to the liquid as the fruit of the vine, not wine. With certainty we can know that Daniel the prophet drank wine, as noted in Daniel 10:3. He clearly implied that he abstained from drinking wine, for a while. I believe we can assume that Jesus also drank some wine, on occasions, as noted in Matthew 11:19 "The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children" and Luke 7:34 "The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! A winebibber was one who drank too much wine; and they were clearly trying to insult Jesus. I am not trying to sell anyone on drinking at all. I just think the Church needs to get this right and some Christians need to stop the Holier than Thou approach to those who do drink in moderation. There's been a couple of times in my life that I wish the wine would have been the fruit juice Jesus was referring to. He obviously knew that young children would be taking communion and did not want them drinking wine. Enjoy, and remember drunkenness is the sin. I will post more supportive scriptures from the Bible verifying my words. And if drinking is a sin, would Jesus have turned water into wine for the people to sin. Don't think so. More to come.
The Hogwash Corral Topic # 9
Revelation 3:10 is our ticket off the Planet to Escape any Persecution by the coming Anti-Christ
Is it true; or has it been twisted out of shape to say something it does not mean.
Revelation 3:10 "Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I also will also keep thee from the hour of temptation, which will come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
Let me take you back to Revelation 1:1 and recap what is going on. John was exiled to the isle of Patmos when Jesus came to him in a vision and commanded him to write about the things which were at that time; and also about things which were going to happen in the future. Jesus gave us Revelation as a road map to follow in the end times and for us to know he is the only one true God; that is able to reveal the future; before it happens. Revelation 2 and 3 were simply the State of the Union message that Jesus gave to the existing 7 Churches of Asia Minor, of John's time. The message from Jesus very clearly spells out what he is happy with, and what he is not happy with. Please read these two chapters and you will find a strikingly different Jesus than the one which came to earth to save us. He is now the judge, and all power has been given to him by the Father.
Revelation 1
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Revelation 3
7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Jesus used Revelation 3:10 to identify to all Christians a time of trial and temptation that is coming to the whole world; the time of the coming Anti-Christ's reign on earth. Please know that this is the plan of God and that during this period the faith of all Christians will be tested by God. The Anti-Christ will rule the entire world for 42 months and the line will be drawn in the sand; you will either be faithful to Jesus during the persecution of the Anti-Christ; or you will be unfaithful to Jesus and join his team. Revelation 14: 9-10 clearly tell us that all who follow the Anti-Christ will spend eternity in Hell. Revelation 3:10 was written specifically by Jesus to the Church of Philidelphia to tell them that because they had been faithful, Jesus was not going to have them go through the coming hour of trial and persecution by the coming Anti-Christ; AND HE DIDN'T. Our modern day pre-tribulation Rapture enthusiasts have long claimed that this is written to us modern day Christians; and we can claim it. To do so would be taking the scripture completely out of context and distorting its true meaning and purpose. We modern day Christians can glean many things and principals from Revelation 2 and 3 as to what pleases Jesus; and what does not. Certainly there are rich Churches today and ones who have the same flaws and attributes of the 7 Churches in the days of John. This was a specific message by Jesus to the existing 7 Churches of his time; and to believe otherwise is sheer nonsense. This is a perfect example of how Pastors have twisted God's word to tell the people what sounds good, and what they want to hear. Please study this; and I believe you will agree that Jesus was not talking to our Churches today. The theology simply does not hold water; and so many Christians have been misled by the meaning of Revelation 3:10
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Please note the words " Him that Overcometh". We; as Christians; are appointed to trials and tribulations; just as Jesus was; and we are called to be just like him. Quite ironically; Revelation 3:10 clearly states that us living Christians will be going through the coming hour of trial; if we are still alive at the coming of Jesus. And what would Jesus say to those today preaching that any minute now we are going to be Heaven to escape the coming persecution of the Anti-Christ. He would simply say "Sorry folks!, I was not talking to you." In to the corral it goes.

4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Revelation 3
7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
